In response to the growing demand for new ways to generate drinking water and based on the latest scientific findings, W & KREISEL develops an atmospheric water generator. The first production-ready mobile water giant PHANTOR will be put into operation at the beginning of 2020.
It all started with a simple thought. When Walter Kreisel drank out of a glass with cold water during his annual visit to an African orphanage, he noticed the many drops of water forming on the surface. That would be nothing special but at this moment the innovative entrepreneur is only thinking of the global benefits of this simple principle. The energy transition or the conversion to renewable energies is going too slow for Walter Kreisel and the exploitation of human and earthly resources must be reduced.
Especially in African developing countries or in India drinking water is tediously dragged along a long distance and many wells are contaminated and there on this glass in his hand water is simply extracted from air. The process is simply explained: If warm air, which stores more water than cold air, is cooled, the steam condenses and settles on the glass as a drop of water. In other words, water is extracted from the air. Exactly this principle is used by atmospheric water generators, short AWG.
Phantor – The Mobile Water GiantThe Mobile Water Giant PHANTOR, named after the elephant, who can smell water for several kilometers and even drill it afterwards, marks a new category in the field of atmospheric water generators. PHANTOR, as a high-performance mobile AWG, is designed for both stationary and semi-stationary use, unlike most conventional atmospheric water generators.

PHANTOR can extract up to 10,000 liters of drinking water from the air daily and thus belongs to the biggest AWGs. The innovative design of the system and the integrated self-optimizing software set new standards in the field of energy efficiency of atmospheric water generators. This shows the years of experience in the field of energy systems and renewable energies of W & KREISEL GmbH, the company behind the project. With PHANTOR, the concentrated know-how of the hardware and software team of W&KREISEL is driven to perfection.
PHANTOR, the Mobile Water Giant, aims to provide millions of people access to safe drinking water through state-of-the-art technologies and renewable energy.

As the world population continues to increase massively and water consumption increases even faster, the demand for mobile water generators is growing. For years the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report is reporting that the global water crisis is one of the greatest threats humanity will face over the next few decades. Global warming is changing freshwater lakes, rivers and streams. Groundwater is under threat from fracking, oil fields and oil transport, reports Greenpeace. According to a report by Science of the Total Environment desalination leaves potentially toxic brine, is extremely energy-intensive and is only possible locally near the coast. This means that humanity needs “new water”, e.g. through atmospheric water generators. PHANTOR, the mobile water giant, provides millions of people access to safe drinking water through state-of-the-art technologies and renewable energy.

About Walter Kreisel ( walterkreisel.com )
For about a decade 40-year-old Walter Kreisel has been working intensively on energy efficiency, i.e. the generation, storage and conversion of energy. As the managing director of W & KREISEL GmbH he firmly believes that the energy transition can solve problems such as global warming and water shortage. For example he develops perfectly matched power storage and charging products with his team under the neoom brand. With NTUITY he provides software that represents a whole new generation of intelligent energy management. His wife is deeply involved with the Karibu World association, which supports children in Africa and India. That is why he travels to Kenya every year to help out locally and to see the world through different eyes. That’s where the idea for PHANTOR originated.
